Nordic environment ministers convey support for NDEP (22 September 2003)
Ministers from the Council of Baltic Sea States (CBSS) jointly stated that NDEP adds new opportunities for environmental and cross-border cooperation in the region. They met in Luleå, Sweden, on 28–29 August 2003 during the Ministerial Conference on Environment and Sustainable Development in Northern Europe.

The United Kingdom contributes £10 million to the NDEP Support Fund (11 August 2003)
The government of the United Kingdom has joined the NDEP Support Fund's contributors with £10 million.

Canada's Prime Minister has recently announced a €20 million contribution towards NDEP nuclear projects. The NDEP Support Fund now stands at €120 million.

Signing of MNEPR will release funds for NDEP nuclear window (22 May 2003)
The Multilateral Nuclear Environmental Programme in the Russian Federation (MNEPR) agreement was signed on 21 May 2003 in Stockholm. The MNEPR signing will enable NDEP contributors to release funding for the NDEP nuclear window.

NDEP Steering Group assesses progress and looks ahead (11 April 2003)
The signings of two projects and the continued support of donors show that NDEP works, said NDEP Steering Group Chair Jean Lemierre, who heads the EBRD, during the Group's last meeting on 11 April 2003.

NDEP’s St Petersburg flood protection barrier progressing (30 April 2003)
NDEP is contributing to the protection of the historic city of St Petersburg against floods threatening to devastate its economy, infrastructure and cultural treasures.

Second NDEP project will cut Baltic Sea pollution (30 April 2003)
The NDEP is contributing close to €6 million to a major international effort to help complete the construction of a sewage treatment plant in St Petersburg. The plant is needed to stop the discharge of untreated effluent into the Gulf of Finland.
