Grant 1: Strategic Master Plan (SMP)

SMP is a comprehensive decommissioning programme for the north-west of Russia

Grant 2: Urgent Projects in Gremikha

Urgent action was required to create safe storage of spent nuclear fuel and to improve physical protection in Gremikha Bay

Grant 3: Radiation Monitoring and Emergency Response System of the Murmansk Region

Enhancement of the radiation monitoring and emergency response systems in Murmansk was one of the first urgent projects.

Grant 4: Decommissioning of Building No.5 in Andreeva Bay

Building no.5 is a former spent fuel storage and a highly contaminated facility posing serious risks to the environment

Grant 5: Decommissioning of the Lepse Floating Technical Base (FTB)

Lepse (FTB) is a technically complex and challenging project. Its storage compartments contain high level of radiation contamination.

Grant 6: Defuelling of the Papa-Class Submarine

This nuclear powered submarine with buoyancy problems contains highly radioactive components and spent nuclear fuel.

Grant 7: SNF Transportation System in Andreeva Bay

There are about 22,000 spent nuclear fuel assemblies kept in unsafe storage conditions in Andreeva Bay.
